Peeking out at me.
Lurking in the shadows.
Watching my every move.
Ever present.
I know you’ll tell me.
When I get to close to the line.
If I step outside the boundaries.
Or outside of my comfort zone.
Then I’ll pull back.
Recede, like I always do.
And you will have won again.
But someday soon you will go.
And I will be free.
